Your Route Across High Passes & Hidden Villages
Your Spiti journey begins with an overnight Volvo ride from Delhi to Shimla, followed by a scenic drive into the beautiful Kinnaur region. The first mountain chapter opens at Chitkul, India’s last inhabited village near the Indo-Tibet border, where valley views and village charm set the tone for the adventure ahead. From there, the trail moves towards Kalpa, offering peaceful village walks, Reckong Peo, Suicide Point, and breathtaking views of the Kinner Kailash range. The journey continues to Nako, where the calm lake, monastery, and quiet village lanes introduce you to the deeper silence of the Himalayas. As you enter Spiti Valley, the route passes through Malling Nallah, Gue Monastery, Tabo Monastery, and Dhankar Monastery before reaching Kaza, the heart of Spiti. The next day explores the region’s high-altitude gems, including Key Monastery, Kibber, Langza, Hikkim, and Komic. The adventure then moves towards Chandratal, the famous Moon Lake, via Kunzum Pass, where lakeside views and stargazing create a magical mountain night. The trip concludes with a drive towards Manali through high passes, Atal Tunnel, and Solang Valley, followed by an overnight Volvo journey back to Delhi.

Wake up to beautiful sunrise views over the Kinner Kailash range and have breakfast before driving towards Nako via Pooh. On arrival, visit the serene Nako Lake, explore Nako Monastery, and enjoy a quiet village walk surrounded by high-altitude landscapes. Dinner and overnight stay in Nako.
After breakfast, begin your journey towards Kaza, the heart of Spiti Valley. Drive through the rugged route via Malling Nallah and visit Gue Monastery, famous for the mummy, followed by Tabo Monastery, often known as the Ajanta of the Himalayas. Later, explore Dhankar Monastery and Fort before reaching Kaza. Dinner and overnight stay in Kaza.
After breakfast, set out to explore the iconic gems around Kaza. Visit Key Monastery, Kibber Village, Langza with its Buddha statue and fossil charm, Hikkim known for the world’s highest post office, and Komic, one of the highest motorable villages. Return to Kaza by evening. Dinner and overnight stay in Kaza.
After breakfast, drive towards the stunning Chandratal Lake via Kunzum Pass. Spend time near the lake, enjoy photography, and soak in the surreal beauty of the high-altitude landscape.
