A Road-Led Escape Into Kashmir’s Valley Wonders
Your journey begins from Jammu, where the route gradually opens into the breathtaking landscapes of Kashmir as you drive towards Srinagar. After arrival, the valley welcomes you with its peaceful lakes, charming gardens, and spiritual landmarks, including Dal Lake, Shankaracharya Temple, Botanical Garden, Chashmashahi, Pari Mahal, Nishat, Shalimar, Hari Parbat, Badamwari Garden, and the seasonal Tulip Garden, if open. The next chapter takes you to Gulmarg, a meadow paradise known for its rolling slopes, village views, golf course, scenic walking points, and optional Gondola experience. Continue towards Sonamarg, the glowing “Meadow of Gold,” where the Sindh River, glacier views, and highland air create a refreshing mountain day. The journey then moves to Pahalgam, passing through saffron fields, apple valleys, bat factory, ancient ruins, and pine forests before reaching the soothing banks of the Lidder stream. After soaking in the valley’s natural beauty, return with cherished memories as your trip concludes with a transfer back to Jammu/Katra/Udhampur, completing a graceful Kashmir circuit from road to river, meadow to mountain, and city to serenity.
Welcome to Jammu, the winter capital of Indian State Jammu and Kashmir. On Arrival, you will be greeted representative/Driver and transferred to Srinagar.
After breakfast, proceed on a city tour visiting the Dal Lake, Shankar Acharya Temple, Botanical Garden, Chashmashahi, Pari Mahal, Nishat, Shalimar, Hari Parbat, Badamwari Garden (As per time permit). Tulip Garden (if will open).
After breakfast in the morning, we will begin our country tour towards Gulmarg. The drive past colorful villages and rice fields, gives you an insight of the rich cultural past of Kashmir. Gulmarg is one of the most beautiful hill stations in the world and also called Meadow of Flowers. It has the world’s highest Golf Course (World’s Highest) and is also famous for winter sports like skiing etc. You can enjoy a Gondola Ride/ Cable Car (at your own cost) from Gulmarg to Khilanmarg & Also Visit Mohinishwar Shivalaya Shiv Mandir, Maharaja Hari Singh Palace, Festival Area, Strawberry Valley, Golf Course, Church, View Point & Children's Park (by walk).
Today you embark on a full day excursion to the picturesque ‘Meadow of Gold’ Sonamarg. Sonamarg is the last stop of Kashmir district. From here starts the territory of Ladakh. Situated at an altitude of 2743 mtr. above sea level. The fast-flowing Sindh River makes it popular for trout and masher fishing in summer. You can opt for a pony ride (at your own cost) to one of the Thajiwas Glaciers for some fun in snow and ice (at your own cost). You can also visit Zero Point/Zojila Pass (at your own cost) Return to the Hotel in Srinagar in the evening and enjoy comfortable overnight stay.
After breakfast drive to Pahalgam (The valley of shepherds). Which is about 96 kms from Srinagar, which will be covered in the app. 3 hours. You Can visit the Bat Factory, saffron fields of Pampore, Apple valley, Awantipura Ruins (1100 years old temple of Lord Vishnu built by the King Awantivarman), OR Martand Surya Temple on En-route. Drive through the pine forests. Arrive at Pahalgam and enjoy Lidder stream. After You can hire a union car (at your own cost) visit Aru Valley, Betaab Valley and Chandanwari. Evening return to Pahalgam Hotel, dinner and Overnight stay.
